Metal Scultpor Artist

Born in Invercargill in 1950, the son of a panelbeater.

A sculptor and steel boatbuilder but a museum worker most of my working life.

After a career as a draughtsman and a few months at art school, a museum directorship set me on a course for many years. I have worked in Museums throughout New Zealand. Exhibiting as a sculptor in the early days gave way to boatbuilding  as as a spare time interest. Building to steel yacht hulls enormously increased my skills with steel.
Turning back to art, commissions have included birds and gates but working with gas torch and forge a range of leaves and flowers have been unfolding lately.
