Marcelle lives on a rural property at Parua Bay with husband Derek and an assortment of animals.
She was born in New Zealand but spent a lot of time in New South Wales  and Queensland,  Australia, where she worked firstly for The Australian Gas Co drawing maps and then briefly for a newspaper in Queensland   drawing weekly cartoons before becoming a mother and domestic goddess.
Taking photographs of family pets and the surrounding countryside have inspired the three children’s books  she has written and produced available at THE BACH and several other New Zealand outlets.
Drawing and painting are also a pastime and combined with a little hand sewing she has created small felt pictures, based on her stories, which are stitched onto fabric bags  designed for small children to use as library bags.
